We have recently been notified by our office building management that Commonwealth Edison, our electrical services provider, will be shutting down electrical service to CDR’s office building  beginning at 6:00 PM CT on Friday, May 26th  in order to perform electrical work in the building over the weekend. Our IT Department will begin shutting down services at 5:00 PM CT on Friday. Electrical service will be restored on Monday, May 29th at 6:00 AM CT.  During this timeframe you will not be able to access your Step 3: Learning Plan, or your Step 4: Activity Log. Special Notice: For CDR credentialed practitioners scheduled to recertify May 31, 2017, your Step 3: Learning Plan must be submitted to CDR on or before May 31st. Do not delay submitting your Learning Plan. Although all learning activities must be completed on or before May 31, 2017, your Step 4: Activity Log must be submitted by June 30, 2017.

New Examination Format

In 2012 CDR completed an updated practice analysis of the pediatric nutrition specialist. The current test content outline was updated based on this study and the examination format changed.

The examination will consist of 150 multiple choice and scenario based questions. (130 questions scored questions and 20 pretest questions). Pretesting is done to see how well items perform before they are used in the scored portion of the examination. The pretest questions cannot be distinguished from those that will be scored, so it is important that all questions are answered. Candidates will have three hours to complete the examination.

The examination for Board Certified Specialist in Pediatric Nutrition is developed and administered by the Commission on Dietetic Registration. Subject matter experts contribute to the development and review of each specialty examination prior to its use. These examinations are administered by computers at designated testing locations.
