DTR Examination—Eligibility Requirements

Option 1—Associate Degree

  1. Completion of an Associate degree granted by a US regionally accredited college/university (or foreign equivalent).
  2. Completion of an Accreditation Council for Education in Nutrition and Dietetics (ACEND) Accredited Dietetic Technician Program (minimum of 450 supervised practice hours).
    
 

Option 2—Bachelor's Degree & DPD

  1. Completion of a bachelor’s degree granted by a US regionally accredited college/university (or foreign equivalent).
  2. Completion of an ACEND accredited Didactic Program in Dietetics (DPD).
