Continuous glucose monitoring (CGM) has been shown to improve diabetes management by lowering glucose and reducing the risk of hypoglycemia. In this session, you will learn about the newest CGM technology, as well as how to interpret ambulatory glucose profile (AGP) reports and define glucose statistics and time in range targets. Case studies will demonstrate how to review CGM data in an AGP report with patients. Emphasis will be placed on demonstrating how lifestyle changes and medication adjustments can be more easily quantified and evaluated using CGM data. Case studies will also illustrate how CGM can foster shared decision-making discussions and engage patients in positive self-care decisions.

Learning Objectives:
List the benefits of continuous glucose monitoring (CGM) and describe current CGM technology
Identify and define measures included on an Ambulatory Glucose Profile Report and describe how to systematically interpret the data
Describe how to use CGM data to engage patients in shared decision-making and encourage positive lifestyle changes to improve glucose management
