Certificate of Training FAQ

Are the Certificate of Training in Obesity Interventions for Adults, Certificate of Training in Adult Weight Management, the Level 2 Certificate of Training in Adult Weight Management and the Certificate of Training in Childhood and Adolescent Weight Management programs still available?
 
No, these four programs have been discontinued. However, the CDR Weight Management Committee has aligned the pediatric obesity and the adult obesity contents to create the new and exciting Certificate of Training in Obesity for Pediatrics and Adults Course.  
 
Currently, this course is only available virtually.  The virtual course is a learner-driven dynamic course featuring interactive sessions and evidence-based techniques. Learners will be challenged to apply foundational knowledge through four days of highly interactive, skill-focused, and scenario-type activities. Learn more.  
 
What are the requirements to earn a virtual Certificate of Training in Obesity for Pediatrics and Adults?
  1. Successfully complete pre-work modules and assessment tests that will prepare you for the live virtual events.  These modules focus on foundational concepts in weight management science and evidence-based practice.  An 80% passing score is required for the assessment tests.  
  2. Fully participate in four live virtual events.  These events focus on experiential learning activities and will develop your critical thinking and problem-solving skill set. 
  3. Successfully pass a post-test with a passing score of 80%.  Access to this test will be provided after full participation in the four live virtual events have been verified.
