HOW TO LOG FNCE 2022 CPEU ACTIVITIES

Please retain for your documentation either a certificate of completion or an agenda/timing outline which accurately reflects the number of contact hours spent completing each activity. 

Activity Type 170: Live Lecture/Seminar  


Please select Activity Type 170 for sessions you attended at the in-person FNCE 2022 meeting. 

  • Practitioners can claim up to 19.0 CPEUs under Activity Type 170 for FNCE 2022. 
     
  • Please log all sessions completed at this conference as separate Activity Log entries, complete with session title and the provider as the Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics (AND). You may request X CPEUs for each session attended, where X is equivalent to the number of contact hours you spent viewing the session. (For example, a 1-hour session would be eligible for 1 CPEU). 
     
  • Select your sphere number and competency.  Although there are three suggested performance indicators* provided for each session, you as the practitioner will select the competency from the dropdown list that describes the knowledge, skills and behaviors gained from activity completion.
    • Performance Indicators* describe an inter-related set of behaviors and the level of expected performance that can be evaluated to determine whether the competency has been met.

Activity Type 171: Live Webinar/Teleseminar 


Please select Activity Type 171 for sessions you watched via live webinar that included an interactive Q&A/discussion at the end of the presentation.

  • Practitioners can claim up to 13.0 CPEUs under Activity Type 171 for virtual FNCE 2022. 
     
  • Please log all sessions completed at this conference as separate Activity Log entries, complete with session title and the provider as the Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics (AND). You may request X CPEUs for each session attended, where X is equivalent to the number of contact hours you spent viewing the session. Activity Type 175: Recorded Pre-Approved Webinar  


Please select Activity Type 175 for FNCE On-Demand sessions.

  • A maximum of 50 CPEUs for RDs/33 CPEUs for DTRs can be claimed for this activity type during the 5-year cycle. 
     
  • Please log all sessions completed at this conference as separate Activity Log entries, complete with session title and the provider as the Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics (AND). You may request X CPEUs for each session attended, where X is equivalent to the number of contact hours you spent viewing the session. Activity Type 130: Exhibits   


Please evaluate the cumulative number of contact hours you spent viewing exhibits during your conference.

  • You may claim X CPEUs for time spent viewing exhibits, where X is equivalent to the cumulative number of hours. 
     
  • Select your sphere number and competency.  You, as the practitioner, will select the competency from the dropdown list that describes the knowledge, skills and behaviors gained from activity completion. 
     
  • A maximum of 15 CPEUs for RDs/10 for DTRs may be claimed for this activity type during the 5-year recertification cycle.

Activity Type 180: Posters

  • You may claim X CPEUs for time spent viewing poster sessions, where X is equivalent to the cumulative number of hours.

  • A maximum of 15 CPEUs for RDs/10 CPEUs for DTRs may be claimed for this activity type during the 5-year recertification cycle.

Previous FNCE FAQs


Q: Can I log FNCE CPEUs earned from previous years?

A: Yes, as long as the sessions were attended within your current 5-year recertification cycle, they can still be logged for credit. Please note there is a maximum of 50 CPEUs for RDs/33 CPEUs for DTRs that can be claimed using activity type 175: Recorded Pre-Approved CPEUs, 15 CPEUs for RDs/10 CPEUs for DTRs that can be claimed using activity type 130: Exhibits and 15 CPEUs for RDs/10 CPEUs for DTRs using activity type 180: Posters.
