 1. As a clinical RD and dialysis quality consultant across the U.S. (MD, DC, VA, CA, HI) and territories (AS, GU, MP), I recognize credentialing as essential to maintaining professional standards and ensuring consistent, evidence-based nutrition practice.
2. I have developed and implemented policies and procedures that upheld clinical standards, ensured regulatory compliance, and directly contributed to improved outcomes for vulnerable renal patient populations.
3. As an RD, CSR and hiring lead for over a decade, I've maintained up-to-date knowledge of CDR and ACEND requirements, ensuring compliance through staff file audits, credential verification, and adherence to regulatory standards.
4. While building American Renal Care's QI department, I investigated workflows and underlying bottlenecks, streamlined divisional structure, promoted CMS standards & company policies, and fostered a clinic culture rooted in patient-centered, interdisciplinary collaboration.
5. I am currently a CSR in the 2024-2029 cycle, and plan to continue to recertify throughout my career.

I conducted cross-department collaboration with Communications to ensure seamless distribution of education materials.
Regional Point Dietitian Davita 2013-2014 Appointed to serve as Regional Point Dietitian at Davita: Atlantic Stars Division, Region 3 (12 clinics). Oversaw nutrition policy and updates, provided guidance to my RD team, mentored and trained new staff, coordinated clinical standards across interdisciplinary teams (conducted audits), and worked closely with the Divisional RD, Regional Operations Director, and administrators of neighboring clinics. As Point, my favorite duties and memories included: planning seasonal nutrition meetings held in the corporate office, organizing patient and staff activities for National Nutrition Month, and coordinating volunteer days at Capital Area Food Bank.
Nutrition Spokesperson George Washington University Hospital 2011-2012 Appointed spokesperson for the GW University Hospital Nutrition Department. I represented the hospital in media interviews (CBS WUSA-9, ABC WJLA-7 News, Des Moines Register) and public-facing health campaigns due to strong communication skills and clinical expertise.

What do you see as opportunities for the future of the nutrition and dietetics profession?

As renal disease continues to rise, there is an urgent need for culturally competent, accessible nutrition care that reflects diverse food traditions. By combining community-centered education with personalized medical nutrition therapy, dietitians can lead the movement toward equitable nutrition counseling and prevention, ensuring our profession is essential in the evolving landscape of healthcare. I believe I can help lead us on this path.

Campaign Statement

I aim to give our members a platform on which to speak, and I aim to uphold the ideals of CDR and the AND. I want to see our profession grow as a result!
