CANADIAN REGISTERED DIETITIAN PATHWAY

To apply for registration eligibility with CDR, contact Dietitians of Canada (DC) to request they email CDR a signed letter confirming:

  • Current active DC membership
  • Education in Canada (including highest degree and degree date - please note the minimum degree requirement is a graduate degree)
  • Graduation from a program recognized as accredited in Canada
  • Licensure as a Canadian RD (or equivalent provincial designation)

This letter should be emailed from DC to CDR (cdrexams@eatright.org) and to the applicant. Letters can be requested from DC by emailing contactus@dietitians.ca.

Note: Dietitians of Canada is temporarily not providing verification letters. Once this issue is resolved, all applications will be processed by CDR.

CDR will begin the application process when your confirmation letter is received from DC. You will receive an email from our Registration Eligibility Processing System (REPS) requesting that you complete an online application form. Please note, CDR will use the name given on your letter from DC. This name should match the name on the valid, government-issued, photo ID you plan to present when testing. If the name on your ID does not match CDR and Pearson VUE’s systems, you will be turned away from the test-ing center and lose your examination fee.

After CDR receives confirmation of the completion of your online application, we will notify our testing agency, Pearson VUE, of your eligibility. You will receive an Authorization to Test email from Pearson VUE giving you access to their web portal so you may schedule your exam.
