      Title: CDR CPEU Prior Approval Program The intent of the CDR Continuing Professional Education Unit (CPEU) Prior Approval Program is to facilitate lifelong learning through access to nutrition and dietetics related Continuing Professional Education (CPE) that updates, enhances, or assesses knowledge, skills, and attitudes of professional dietetics practice.1 Each CPE activity should be free from marketing and commercial bias, free from financial influence, and conducted in a way that promotes equity. Activities which are CDR CPEU Prior Approved have the following characteristics:Meet Professional Development Portfolio (PDP) Content CriteriaComply with CDR CPE Provider PoliciesConform to Activity Type definitionsDevelop behaviors required for continued competence as outlined in the Essential Practice Competencies  -  CDR CPEU Prior Approval does not constitute endorsement by CDR of a CDR CPE Provider, activities, or materials.... Fees will not be refunded for any reason, including if an activity is cancelled or a Prior Approval request is denied.

      Recorded Pre-Approved Activities (175) and Self-Study Activities (700-740) approved under the current Prior Approval Program will expire on their established expiration dates or on May 31, 2027 (whichever happens first). Other activities approved under the current Prior Approval Program will expire on their established expiration dates....  ,CDR requires all CDR CPEU Prior Approval CPE activity applications to be submitted at least 48 hours prior to the start of the CPE activity.

      Additionally, activities that have received prior approval can be searched for in the CPE Database.,Any organization and/or individual can apply to submit for prior approval.   -  To apply to be a prior approved activity provider, please click here (Note - CDR reviews and approves all applications within 2-3 business days)  -  It is up to the individual organization to determine who submits the activities for prior approval.

      ,You can find ethics-related activities by searching the CPE Online Database, which compiles all activities that have been prior approved, or offered by CDR Accredited Providers.As well, below you will find a partial listing of programs that have received prior approval from CDR and links to their respective websites where you can access these activities. CDR CPEU Prior Approval does not constitute endorsement by CDR of a CDR CPE Provider (referred to hereafter as Provider), activities, or materials.

        Please note records of attendance should be kept for 7-years following the activity ,Live activities are valid for one year from the date of approval. Self-study activities are valid for three years from the date of approval. ...   Once the activity has expired, it must be resubmitted to CDR through prior approval with updated supporting documentation if you would like to offer it for CEUs again.
