      Title: ETHICS CPEU REQUIREMENT RESOURCES The Code of Ethics for the Profession of Dietetics applies to all registered dietitians (RDs) and dietetic technicians, registered (DTRs) and necessitates that practitioners maintain competence by increasing professional knowledge and skills.... Learners may select, complete, and record an ethics CPE activity of their choosing if the activity meets Content Criteria and corresponds to an Activity Type definition. Content must primarily pertain to professional ethics as it relates to nutrition and dietetics practice.

         -  Ethics Requirement: The ethics requirement webpage includes ethics CPEU resources. Note, practitioners are required to complete at least 1 CPEU related to ethics within their 5-year cycle. This activity should be logged under Sphere 1: Ethics.

        -  Triggers, or causes for auditing portfolios, are based on noncompliance with portfolio guidelines, or with applicable laws and regulations related to the practice of the profession as indicated in the Code of Ethics for the Profession of Dietetics.... Physical or digital retention of PDP-related forms, certificates, agendas, contracts, transcripts, etc., is the responsibility of the practitioner within or outside the context of a PDP auditCDR notifies a practitioner of an audit when they have met the minimum requirements of 75 CPEUs for RDs and 50 CPEUs for DTRs, as well as at least 1 CPEU pertaining to ethics.... A Log cannot be submitted without a substantiating audit document for at least 75 CPEUs for RDs/50 CPEUs for DTRs, including the required ethics credit.

      Title: CDR CPE Activity Type Definitions Nutrition and dietetics-related academic coursework, including distance learning, at a university accredited by a USDE recognized accrediting agency can be awarded CPEUs based on the following list. Under the activity description in your Activity Log, indicate whether the coursework was taken during a semester, trimester, or quarter. Academic coursework that qualifies for CPE credit must be started after you have become an RD or DTR and must be completed in your current recertification cycle and the course completion date shall not extend beyond the last day of the term.
